Dr. Jamie L. Lynch is a board-certified, sports medicine fellowship trained orthopedic surgeon with a focus in shoulder injuries who brings to TruOrtho her extensive experience in orthopedic disorders and sports injuries of the upper and lower extremities.

She has a special interest in the athlete at any level of competition. Dr. Lynch has experience caring for professional athletes in the NFL as well as the NHL, worked with the Detroit Lions and the Chicago Blackhawks. Yet, she has also been on the sideline of youth, high school and college sporting events throughout her training.

Dr. Lynch received her bachelor’s degree in Cell and Structural Biology through the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.  She is a graduate of the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Chicago. Dr. Lynch is fellowship trained in orthopedic sports medicine surgery from William Beaumont Hospital.

Furthermore, she spent 5 years training in a level one trauma center in Chicago, IL where she addressed orthopedic trauma and general orthopedic disorders.

Dr. Lynch has been involved in research and clinical education, and has presented scientific papers at Mid-America Orthopedic Association and American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons.  She has educated youth hockey coaches on the understanding and the recognition of concussions through the USA Hockey, Inc.

Her dedication to Orthopedics and physical fitness allowed her the opportunity to serve as the medical director of the South Central regional Crossfit Games that took place here in San Antonio in 2013 and 2014.

Dr. Lynch offers her experience, professionalism and knowledge to the patients at TruOrtho, throughout the San Antonio area.
